MY BOAT.
The 24th. You know time really flies when you check the date and realized "DANG, THAT WAS A YEAR AGO." To think about it, a year is quite a long time. Many things happened through out that time. It's just crazy that a year ago, from this day, things began. Some I never thought would happen & took me by surprise. Something that truly made me happy & felt like I was worth something again. My summer began. "Summer lovin' had me a blast, summer lovin' happened so fast". I would have gone with those words because they are true. But I guess nothing lasts forever and that thing did not last. No regrets and it was an experience I loved. It's crazy how time flies & you look back on the days where you say "dang, where did that go?"
Today was just a very inspirational day. FilGrad would probably be one of the most inspirational & moving events I have ever been too, and would probably my goal to go to yearly. Not to mention that I succeeded my first event as a Community coordinator. First of all though, thanks for each and everyone who helped out. This wouldnt have been possible without your help. I appreciate everyone's hardwork, forreal! :) Ya'll were great & thank you thank you thank you! :) But really, seeing those graduates walk the stage & graduate COLLEGE, not high school, just brings a differnt subject & perception. I cannot wait till the day I get my degree. The Filipino graduates makes everyone realize that everyone in the community CAN DO IT. Despite all the struggles, we still can make it through. Professor Begonia's speech was truly moving and just pushed me to my fullest. Although I have never taken his AAS355 class, just from that speech he made at the ceremony gave me a taste of it, and I already love him for his inspiring words. No joke, a day can change everything & you. I had a better sense of myself & where I want to go & how I want to deal. Thank you today for helping me♥

FIRST YEAR, WHERE'D YOU GO?!
SUMMER MODE BEGAN TODAY! Can't be more juiced. I know I still have hella shit to do during the summer to plan for my workshops, but Im feeling that's work I WANT to do and not school work yaddamean? Anways.
First year flew by! I can't even believe it, forreal. I remember last year around this time, it was prom season and that was the only thing we were all worried about. Then in a couple of weeks, it was graduation. Summer, then began school. Now im summer vacation again! First year of college just flew past me. It's crazy. It's funny how in the beginning, all of us were hella scared to get into it. howver, we got used to it. I truly enjoyed my first year. I just love always being active, regardless that Im a commuter! Daaaang. Commuting?! Ooooh, BART was my bestfriend for the most part. But anyways, I think a suggestion that I would give to incoming first years is just be active & involved because that will really start off the college life. Even if you're a commuter, forreal. Meet new people & be involved. Ive talked to some people saying that this isnt the school for them because there is not campus life since its a commuter school. BUT, I think that you just need to get out there to have a campus life! It wont come to you, you have to go to it. But I mean, there is some kind of campus life even if you arent involved. Personally, I've met some of my good friends, well most of my good friends through being involved in PACE. & I cannot be more happy! I have met some true people and I know that I will keep them for the rest of my college life :) I have made the right decision to come to SF State because I felt like I found myself in here & I have changed for the better. First year, despite the school stress&work, you were good to me and gave me some of the best experiences of my life. I can't believe I made it through! :) Proud of myself, baby. :) Agh! Thanks to all who guided me through being a "freshie". Love ya'll :)

Community? Yupp, that's whatsup! Meet your new PACE Community Coordinator 2009-2010, yours truly :) haha. Im excited yet scared. I know it's gonna be one hell of a ride, but Im ready to take on the task. With my fellow CORE members, I know we can surpass through the issues that will come up in our work. =]

Almost done!
So I haven't blogged in a long ass time because I've been busy with PCN, school work, and life in general. Sucks for the people who never understood that. But whatevers. I actually got home pretty damn early. 4:00? woah, that's the earliest I've been home in months! But anyways, despite the exhaustion, life has been pretty damn good :)

PCN, was a freakin success. 3 months of hardwork all paid off in one night! I love the Mahalaya cast! I miss being in a show and Im glad the year that I decide to resume to doing shows was a great one! Everyone is just so much fun and very talented. We had hella good times despite the late night practices and stress. I got much respect for ya'll. Through these three months, I got close to people that I know will be some of my good friends in the long run of college life. Im glad. :) Im quite happy! Also, with the fact that I will be moving to SF next semester, spending time with these amazing people will be easy, in a way, yeah? ;) MAHALAYA! MAHALAYA! "Ain't no mountain high enough..." Love it & miss it! can't wait to see everyone @ banquet this friday! we're gonnna party it up! woot!=]

With PCN done, I have to focus on finals. This week is last week of lectures and then finals week. Ugh, stressful! Wish me luck.
CORE debates was one Monday. We started at 5pm and ended at about 1:30am. Crazy huh. I dont know how I feel about it. let's just see what happens. =/
San Leandro ain't the place to be anymore, except for HOME. SF will give me more opportunities and a new life, more independence, new environment.

HEAT.
Hey folks! This heat is killing me. I don't like the heat, especially when it's THIS hot. I feel like collapsing right now. Currently at the Rigoberta Hall, where it's a bit cooler, attempting to finish my Comm150 Response Paper and get started on another PSY paper. So far, not successful on any of that. Oh well, school is killing me and waiting for summer to come so I can find a job already. I AM IN DESPERATE NEED OF A JOB, thanks. I will now really need money by the next sem, since, I am moving to SF. Yeupp, got that right. No more commutes and rushing to class. Tired of that. I feel bad for my parents though. But I'll do all the best I can to not disappoint them♥ but for now, I need to find someone who would wanna rent the room for the summer! Cause im staying home and we need someone who can take over for the summer. Know anyone? Hit me up, please!
PCN is reallly coming up, forreal. 2 weeks? 3 weeks? Something like that. Hell's week next week and the week after. It's all hell, on top of school work. FML. But I chose this and I can deal, promise. :) I needa stop ditching class though. But it's not like I ditched for no reason. Mainly to catch up on my schoolwork too. >.< I need a break. a big break. School's so overrated at this point. So over it. So that's pretty much what's life lookin like. Pretty lame, I know. Sorry. Kay, should get some stuff done. Laatees! ;)

FAMILY MATTERS.
Despite the crazy week and being lightweight sick, my whole family took a quick trip to Chino Hills down South to attend my second cousin's, Jonathan, funeral. Everything happened to sudden and unexpected. He collapse while playing basketball.. dead on the spot. He was diagnosed with some heart problem few years back. But he has been better for a bout a year now, which is why everything was so sudden. Although honestly, I've only met Jonathan a few times in my life, he still is my cousin right? It's quite sad to say that we lost a lot of chances to get to know each other more because of the family feud that was going on between the families of my grandpa and his grandpa (they were brothers) these past few years. I guess that's one of those regrets. Also why we were hesitant to go over there as we were scared on how we were going to be treated. But out of respect to you Jon and the whole family, we were there to come see you go for the last time. But thank to you Jon, our families are okay and back to normal. Everyone can't believe that you're gone, but I believe that without this incident, things wouldn't have gone back to normal. Thanks cousin, our family owes you big time.
The funeral was really touching. Even if I didn't know Jonathan as well as everyone in that room, I feel like through the slide shows and everyone's eulogies, I was able to get to know him. There were so MANY people there to show their love for Jon. He was really loved, small or little, everyone had respect for him. It's crazy. For a fact, he was such a sweetheart to his family & friends. He always had a bright smile to make everyone's day. He was a hockey player, basketball player, paintballer, and a dancer. He had so many goals in life and so much more plans with his family, girlfriend, and friends. So much stories that my uncles & grandpa told us that had happened to him and his accomplishments, especially before he passed away. Sometimes, I think he knew that he didn't have time anymore or something, therefore, he did so much stuff before. But whatever. Jonathan was a good kid, friend, son, boyfriend, cousin.. He did not put those 18 years of his life to waste, that's for sure. Gone too soon, but there's always a reason why things happen. He made everyone happy and touched everyone's life.
Being the only boy out of 7 cousins, the only grandSON of my Lolo Floring & Lola Linda, the only son of Tita Sette, he was their world, the baby boy, and their life. Lord Jesus, please watch over his family and keep them strong. They need you especially at this moment, to keep their hearts open and see let them see light again. As for Jon, watch over us down here. Everyone misses you, but we know that God is keeping you safe up there. Rest easy, cousin.

R.I.P. SpringBreak
Dear Spring Break,
You left me way too soon. I am not ready. We were just beginning to enjoy every bit together. From the ISA concert, to Dennis's party. Oh, and the beautiful beach day with my mains. PLUS, supposed to be bowling night but turned into pool night. Oh, fun times. But you decide to leave me. Too fast, too quick. In one blink you were gone. I'll miss you. TERRIBLY. You were super good to me and I cannot thank you enough, cause you came when I needed you the MOST. Thanks for the memories. You were the best! Now I shall return to reality and rekindle with Psychology, English, CriticalThinking, Math, Communications, and Asians in America, even if I didn't miss them too much. Goodbye, see you soon.

So I went to the confirmation meeting thing yesterday for St. Leanders because I am chaperoning at this year confirmation retreat, which will be in a couple of weeks :) And I realize that I went to that retreat about 4 years ago. 4 YEARS! that's a long time, and I miss it all. Although I really don't remember so much! I remmeber good times, but not too detailed! :[ But I miss our group and the friends I made within those 2 years of confirmation classes. Miss ya, cool kids!

POKER FACE.
I guess sometimes I have this facade on. I seem to be okay, when I sometimes hide things inside. Don't get me wrong, I am happy, of course. I have the greatest friends and family. Family however can always be so hot-headed and so whatever I do isn't good enough for them or is wrong. Whatever. But I guess something is missing. I can't exactly pin point what that is. But you know how sometimes you just feel it deep down inside you. I can make things complicated, but what can I do, Im a girl, and damn it, girls are complicated in all honesty! Oh life, be good to me. Jaykay. You are good to me, but maybe a little less confusing please? :) Oh, and to add, I think I jinxed something...or the time has come. A friend of mine read my cards few months ago about a specific gentleman who i was KINDA crushing on at that time. And it said that there was a little love, but more friendship. and in that course, there's a point in time where he will disappear and we'll just drift apart because of something. I think it came. I think this week did that to me. Things changed a bit. Hmm, over analyzing much? Im not sure. But hopefully not. *cross fingers* Anyways.

Sunday... got home around 10am. then got ready to go to Antioch! Family from Oregon came and so we went to go see them. I miss them. :[ I miss times like those when we'd get together almost every weekend. But now, it barely happens. :[ I love my family, and Im not getting enough of them, especially the ones in the Philippines. Sighh. So yeah, chilled there. My uncle let me drove! It wasnt that far. but still, I was on the roaad. hahha! I drove back to the house from where we were. hahah :) Yeaaah, I really needa get my L's. Saadfacee. lol. Oh well.
Monday(today)... Wasn't sucha long day but felt like it was! Got picked up by Ate Ken around 4:30 cause we had planned to go to Island Pacific to see Sarah Geronimo & Mark Bautista and others. Excited as we were, we got there and for some reason they cancelled it and moved it to tomorrow. Lame right? So not knowing what to do, Ate ken texted her friend who she volunteers with since they both work for the concert production people. We got info that they were in San Jose @ Some college of nursing. Very crazy, but we drove there thinking that we'd find something. haha. Got lost for HELLA long, even I had to ask Nel to google map somethanng for me. Thanks Nel. So we werent successful at anything. Gosh, we better need connections and better stalking skills! hahaha. So despressed, we ended up at GreatMall to kinda make us a bit happy. We had nothing, but at least we werent so depressed anymore hahah! Oh my adventures/dates with Ate Ken are always the best!

So in the morning, Iwas just around with my parents running erands and all that jazz. I was sleeping over at Dennis's that night with the girls & guys to have a little get together. :) Turns out to be pretty chill because it was pretty much just us, and no more people. I love my friends. I love how no matter how far we can be during school days, we can be as close like we still went to the same school once everyone's on break or what not. I love them!

They were gonna play poker and I wanted to learn, but I guess I knocked out. xDSunday... got home around 10am. then got ready to go to Antioch! Family from Oregon came and so we went to go see them. I miss them. :[ I miss times like those when we'd get together almost every weekend. But now, it barely happens. :[ I love my family, and Im not getting enough of them, especially the ones in the Philippines. Sighh. So yeah, chilled there. My uncle let me drove! It wasnt that far. but still, I was on the roaad. hahha! I drove back to the house from where we were. hahah :) Yeaaah, I really needa get my L's. Saadfacee. lol. Oh well.
Monday(today)... Wasn't sucha long day but felt like it was! Got picked up by Ate Ken around 4:30 cause we had planned to go to Island Pacific to see Sarah Geronimo & Mark Bautista and others. Excited as we were, we got there and for some reason they cancelled it and moved it to tomorrow. Lame right? So not knowing what to do, Ate ken texted her friend who she volunteers with since they both work for the concert production people. We got info that they were in San Jose @ Some college of nursing. Very crazy, but we drove there thinking that we'd find something. haha. Got lost for HELLA long, even I had to ask Nel to google map somethanng for me. Thanks Nel. So we werent successful at anything. Gosh, we better need connections and better stalking skills! hahaha. So despressed, we ended up at GreatMall to kinda make us a bit happy. We had nothing, but at least we werent so depressed anymore hahah! Oh my adventures/dates with Ate Ken are always the best!
